ORDER
               By Dr. Handel Leslie
Order is one of the most fascinating aspects of human existence. It is a subject that cannot be ignored and a quality that must be passionately pursued. Such quality must be cherished so as to become a life’s discipline. When considered, the dynamics of this force has the power to create self-discipline.

Order is defined as, a methodical or harmonious arrangement of thoughts, ideas or things.
The proficiency of life and affairs is embedded on the promise of order. Will Durant said, Civilization begins with order, grows with liberty, and dies with chaos”. To ignore this powerful virtue is to create a lifestyle of chaos.

However this process of order begins in the mind, formulated by thoughts. Thoughts are the master of our destiny, and we are always steered in the direction of those thoughts negative or positive. It is futile to organize the outer world, when the inner is in turmoil. It is rightfully said, ‘as within so without’. You cannot alter the outer when the inner is in disarray. It’s like arranging the garden to perfection but the house is in disorder.

For a life of efficiency and beauty, the quality of order must be employed. Jesus in feeding the five thousand instructed the disciples to organize the people in groups of fifties. This was a strategy of crowd management and a systematic arrangement so as to create order. If life is to become grand and beauty desired revealed, then things must always be put in their right perspective. Some think that the world will offer the fulfillment of their desires without them placing a demand. However it must first be based on priorities. The way you prioritize things determines the outcome.

It is always great to set lofty goals but keeping things in a systematic manner is of prime importance. The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your choices. Choose to think right and you will see things right. If you desire to see things right without first thinking them through it amounts to disorder. On this subject M.C Esher had this to say, “Order is repetition of units, chaos is multiplicity without rhythm”.

For you to experience the kind of world you desire, there must be the inner mapping of what you desire. You have the right to a better tomorrow. Never waste your time thinking about the disorders of your past. Rather, use them as lessons learnt for a better tomorrow.

Think of the great possibilities that lies within you. Why not take the step in the direction of your dreams unfolding, and ultimately the fulfillment of those dreams. You can mirror your glorious tomorrow in your today. No one has the right to control your mind. You are the custodian of your inner world, so move with buoyancy towards your aspiration. As Solomon said, “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he”.

Why not make your world a better place by making things better from within. If you choose to do so, then things will always come together in divine order both in mind and affairs.
